Hi, my name is Tabitha, and Input is my top StrengthsFinder theme. Input is all about taking in as much as possible, be it collecting things, information, or just everything about my surroundings.
Some of my favourite places are libraries and supermarkets, where there's a huge array of things to look at and lots of information to take in. I love to read, collect stationery, and also things that can be used for crafting because I know that they'll all come in handy one day.
I feel that the real value of Input as a theme is in being able to give valuable output from what I've collected. For example, when I'm out, I always look around and tend to take note of road names and landmarks and all this information goes toward building a mental map in my head which I can then consult at will. As a result, I rarely get lost, and can even give my friends directions or interesting findings about places that I looked up before.
In school, my friends will naturally direct the questions that they have to me. Sometimes, I already know the answer, but when I don't, I immediately ask my best friend, Google. I take great joy in finding out the answer and then relaying it to my friends.
Sometimes, people misunderstand that I'm a know-it-all or that I'm just simply a hoarder because I collect a lot of things. You should see the state of my room! It's never collection for collection's sake, but rather, it's building up a great collection to be given away.
As a person with Input, you can count on me to be that resourceful person and to provide that vital piece of information or that particular thing that you need.
